Major Investment And Transformation For

Cricket St. Thomas Wildlife Park

Cricket St Thomas Wildlife Park, one of the most beautiful panoramic landscapes in the heart of the Somerset countryside, is to benefit from a major investment that will transform the 45-acre parkland.

Warner Leisure Hotels, which owns the Wildlife Park alongside its hotel at Cricket St Thomas, will be making a substantial investment to develop the gardens and lakes. The Wildlife Park, set within an area of outstanding natural beauty with a series of picturesque lakes and a unique lemur wood, will temporarily close at the end of September 2009 to allow for development before re-opening to the public in Spring of 2010.

During this period of development, a number of the Park’s larger animals will be re-homed in suitable welcoming locations and the landscape will be transformed into beautiful and impressive gardens, including garden ‘rooms’ designed by award-winning gardeners.

New Bowls Breaks for 2010

There is an exciting mix of new bowls breaks for 2010, added to the increasingly popular open fours competitions, giving even more choice to guests who make a visit to one of Warner Leisure Hotels four bowls centres.

Innovation has been central to Warner Leisure Hotels maintaining the No1 position in providing UK breaks exclusively for adults, and the introduction of new competitions is set to attract even more bowlers and club groups wishing to enjoy the combination of playing their sport and having a fabulous holiday.

The full programme of 2010 bowling holidays is now available to bowls group organisers and includes the new open fours “Play for a Holiday” breaks at Bembridge Coast Hotel, Isle of Wight, Bodelwyddan Castle Hotel, North Wales, Gunton Hall Resort , Suffolk and Lakeside Resort, Hayling Island when each winning player walks away with a Free short break holiday voucher.

A programme of 30 midweek and weekend indoor open fours bowls breaks indicates the popularity of Bembridge Coast Hotel in attracting bowers from across the country.
