Personal Accident Policy Summary for REPTA
This is a summary of the policy and does not contain the full terms and conditions of the cover, which can be found in the policy document.

The policy provides cover for you against accidental bodily injury.
Key Covers, Features and Exceptions
Your policy includes the following key covers, features and exceptions, which are detailed in your policy documentation.

Cover Features and Benefits
What is covered:
Accidental Bodily Injury that causes:
• Death
• Permanent total disablement
• Temporary total disablement
This policy provides cover on a Fixed Benefit basis.
• Fixed Benefits – where the benefits received under the
policy are set pre-determined levels. The benefit is
dependant on the relevant contingency payable.
The operative time of cover is dependent on the contingency
detailed in the policy wording.
Contingency A
Whilst within Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel
Islands or the Isle of Man or on the Continent of Europe.
Accident directly occasioned by/to a specified method of
conveyance (as detailed in the policy wording) in which the
policyholder is travelling as a passenger.
Contingency B
Whilst within Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel
Islands or the Isle of Man. Accident directly occasioned by/to a
specified method of conveyance (as detailed in the policy
wording) in which the policyholder is travelling in performance
of his duties
Contingency C
Whilst within Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel
Islands or the Isle of Man. Bodily injury sustained on any
railway passenger platform or in any coach or omnibus garage.
Contingency D
Whilst within Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands
or the Isle of Man or if crew of a vessel or hovercraft within
any port of Europe.
Accident arising out of occupation as railway or coach
employee, being accidentally knocked down or run over whilst
a pedestrian on a public highway by a horse, cycle or vehicle,
accident whilst pedal cycling by direct route from home to
work, and vice versa.
Exceptions or Limitations
Please refer to the Personal Accident section of the
policy booklet
• Any person under the age of 16 or over the age of 80.
• Getting on or getting off or falling from any conveyance.
• More than one of the respective sums stated in respect of
any one accident.
• War and Terrorism.
Compensation for Contingency A
• Accidental Death – £12,000
• Loss of two or more limbs by actual severance at or above
the wrist or ankle or total and irrecoverable loss of all sight
in both eyes or loss as defined of one or more limbs and
sight in one or both eyes – £12,000
• Loss as above defined of one limb or all sight in one eye –
£6,000
• Permanent total disablement from earning a livelihood –
£12,000
• Temporary total disablement from earning a livelihood or
following usual pursuits or pastimes – £53 per week
payable for 104 weeks.
Compensation for Contingency B
• Accidental Death – £3,000
Compensation for Contingency C
• Accidental Death – £3,000
Compensation for Contingency D
• Accidental Death – £3,000
General Information
Duration of Policy
Cover starts the later of 1st January 2006 or on the date the membership is taken out. In every case cover terminates on 31st Dec 2006.
Your Cancellation Rights
There are no statutory cancellation rights under this policy.

Complaints
We hope that you will be very happy with the service we provide. However,

if for any reason you are unhappy about this, we would like to hear from you.
In the first instance, please contact your insurance adviser or usual Norwich Union point of contact. Full details of our complaints procedure
will be set out in your policy document.
We are covered by the Financial Ombudsman Service for complaints from private individuals, certain small businesses, charities and trusts. If
you have complained to us and we have been unable to resolve your

complaint, you may then be entitled to refer it to this independent body. Following the complaints procedure does not affect your right to take legal action.
Financial Services Compensation Scheme
Our obligations are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). If we were unable to meet our obligations, you could
be entitled to compensation from this scheme, depending on the type of insurance and the circumstances at the time.
